People who film life

Those who attend an event, visit an amazing place, or watch a concern for instance, then stand there filming the whole experience watching it through a mobile phone screen, probably never to watch it again and missing out on the real world.

Do you?

Nope, drives me mad! Especially with fireworks - who sits back and rewatches firework displays?!

I also refuse to believe that anyone goes on Facebook & thinks "Great! Barbara posted a 14 minute video of a firework display, can't wait to watch that later!"

You can see people filming the opposition taking a throw in, sometimes.

We can.only hope such imbeciles are too busy to procreate

Trust me, it's not a secret.

I like concerts posted on YouTube by someone with a phone. I wouldn't do it myself though. Enjoy it in real life.

Bham

I might take a little clip to remember my evening at a gig but not for a whole song or longer.

Brighton - even Hove!

Not really. I’m happy to die as a memory that fades rather than anything material.

..

It’s a mystery isn’t it?

You’re there in the moment, enjoy it, otherwise you might as well be at home on your sofa looking at the same thing on the telly.

its all recorded in your mind the best hard drive you have.

There is nothing worse than being made to look at the dreaded photo albums/videos.

Pads of bands are banning the use of phones easier to control in seated venues but impossible in standing ones. People should respect other people there and the musical integrity of the band .

If I’m at a gig when the band comes on, I get a photo and then the phone is away so I can watch the gig. I don’t think I’ve ever got my phone out at a football match before though

I'm not on social media apart from Fab.

So I rarely take pictures or films of anything.

I don't need to hear " wow that looks amazin hun "

about everything I do

I video a little bit of of my grandchildren's Christmas concerts and sport's days. Mainly so they can watch it when they grow up, but I point my phone and watch the action, keeping an eye on the screen now and then to make sure I'm getting them in.

When my children danced competitively I videod everything the did on stage, and we now have dvd nights where we watch them back. I videod the trophy presentations too.

I also have tapes of Christmases and birthday parties of my children and grandchildren and weddings. I used to film a lot back then and I'm glad I did because I lost most of my photos when I left my husband.

Videos are living memories of the past.

I wouldn't film a concert.

You can watch and record at the same time. It's not that difficult

Yes it's living at one remove as an observer of one's life and I find it rather creepy. Seems to be the modern way though
