I'm going to Glasgow tonight, but there's an Amber warning so I'm keeping my eye on the train timetable!

You know what really pisses me off?

People sharing news items on Facebook about the UK getting snow, when they haven't bothered to read the article.

By "the UK" they mean the Highlands of Scotland.

Don't get my hopes up like that you morons!

Not sure if the Highlands are meant to or not. The Amber warning is for the Glasgow area/Central belt.

Nothing but thick rain so far near me though.

I feel that pain when it says the UK is getting a heatwave and we usually end up sitting in our cardigans looking at pictures of everyone with 'taps aff' down south!

We did get snow this morning but just cold and rainy now.

I automatically assume snow means Scotland, heatwave means Devon.

I remember last year and just escaped the heavy snow in Fort William/Glasgow after a christmas break. No fun driving over Glencoe in the snow and just got passed Glasgow before the roads closed. We do miss all the fun in the sunny south!

Cheeseville, Somerset

We have plenty of snow down here thanks.

Admittedly it's warm snow. Not the kind you can make a decent snowman out of. But given our local council has scrapped gritting many of the local roads this year it can stay wet and miserable over Xmas as far as i'm concerned, as long as it doesn't freeze.

'Moist' isn't so much of a problem.

A
