west here ford shire

So bbc are building a new set for eastenders, £87 million it’s costing us the British tax payers.

How ridiculous is that, why should we spend that much money on something unnecessary?

Hiding in the shadows

Just heard that on the radio, and it's 2½yrs behind schedule too!

When we've got people sleeping on the streets, all I can think of is how many real homes that money could build

It's obscene.

Cost? As far as I know the BBC make a profit on Eastenders on syndication and over seas sales so investing in a bigger set is probably a good way of getting the cost to the licence payer down in the long run.
