I drive a refrigerated truck, usually park away from everyone at the services because of the noise, someone nearly always parks next to me and asks if the fridge is staying on

I read we are actually hardwired to do it. It's the herd mentality, safety in numbers.

The wildebeest on its own at the edge of the pack is the one that gets picked off by lions....
