Double Features were commonplace back then - can remember seeing Life Of Brian/Airplane and Monty Python & The Holy Grail/Blazing Saddles - don't think I've laughed so much since!!

You could also go into the film at any point and just sit there after it finished till the next showing started so you could see the bit you missed.

And films had intervals!!

Basically dismantle a dart... Putting 18 inch garden cane/straight stick between the dart head and the fin/flight feather and the other end

You now have a 2 foot dart

Put a notch at the tail end

Take a peice of string the same length as your 2 foot dart with the string at the end in your notch, the other at your dart head

Throw it at full arms length as hard as you can kind of holding on bett letting go of the string.. The string catapults it....... GOES FOR MILES.. RIGHT GOOD... MAKE ONE

I remember signing up to the internet in the early 90s and you would get lists of the new people who joined our provider.

That’s how small the internet was.

First person to contact us incidentally was someone keen on wearing inflatable rubber suits

First tv and video we bought with the cable attached remote was a Grundig...and we paid £1,000 for it in 1982!

Last tv I bought in 2017 4k ultra curved smart tv £600!
