I was on Countdown a few years back - won 7 and got a teapot The best you can do with the above is "batting", or "boating" plus a couple more. I don't think there's a 9 letter word there.

The longest word (7 letters) you can make is batting or boating. There are a couple of other 7 letter words.

You can make a phrase "twit on bag" but that might be construed as insulting to some. So you could re-jig it to "twig baton".
