Sick of reading about politically friendly labels for men and women who are overweight and therefore at some degree of risk from disease. I had a bad blood test result on Monday and the GP told me my fortune - I am going to do something about it.

Are you planning to change your diet/lifestyle this year? If so, join this thread with your ambition/target and lets resurrect the thread on the appropriate date to see how we have all done. Purpose of this thread is that if you state your aim in public it may just motivate you to achieve your aim.

For simplicity, for men lets talk about waist size - women lets talk about dress size:

I will start this off:

Size today - 36 waist

Target by 01st March - 34 waist

Target by 01st July - 32 waist

(Please no whingers - just add to this if you want to front up and be accountable for your efforts in March & July)

Eastleigh

I find eating less and moving more works, but gets a bit tedious as it takes 3 or 4 weeks to see any change. Whilst working away, the weight seems to drop off. I still eat the things I enjoy, just smaller portions, also try avoiding big meals at teatime and in the evening.
