When You Left Home? The home you grew up in....

I had just turned 15. (That seems so young now!) I wasn't happy being at home, I had itchy feet and wanted to travel. I stayed with friends for a bit then I moved to Blackpool when I was 17 found a job and stayed for 18 months. I've not stopped since, well not stopped for long.

Be interesting to see what ages and what decade you left. I left early 90s, I don't 15 was a young age to leave home back then. This day and age I think the average age would be about 25? My Sister was 29!!

Where about in London do you live? I lived in Elephant, Croydon West and East, Victoria, 7 Sisters, Ealing, Brixton. Do like it London but got to be in the mood. That's wht I don't stay in the same place too long. I must have been adopted from Gypsies as my family are all lazy...

Gonna have to give me a few minutes to work that out :-

Well done on getting a house at 22. I've tried settling so many times. Had a flat in Blackpool at 18 and just felt like a change and just waked away. Left it all there furniture everything. I've done that about 8 times. I've mostly worked and lived in pubs and hotels. Just travelling around UK.

Of course it's famous for it. Walk from South through the town to North it gets gradually worse as you go.

Worthing

Had a good home life but woke up one day and thought "yep, want to go". I was 24 and wanted to be sure finances were in order first.

Coventry

Left home when I was 19. I joined the Forces and learnt my trade. Far better than anything university could offer me. A roof over my head, food on the table, adventure, high levels of responsibility and most importantly a wage in my back pocket.

I was 18 when I left home. Was home for some time during holidays whilst at Uni. Then moved away fully once I graduated at the age of 23.

I was 18, 2001 I became a mum so had to move due to lack of space at my parents. I'd like my kids at home last that age so they can save etc but I'd support them whatever they choose to do.

17 in 2001, moved in with a friend for a few months, came back for a couple, moved to Newcastle for a year then off to Sheffield for 15 years. Split with the ex last year so I've ended up back at home! Gutted
