I'm struggling to think of a gift for a special someone - we met just before Christmas last year so it's the first time I'm Christmas gift hunting for this person.

I am not keen on the idea of clothing or PJs because it seems like the kind of thing married couples get each other when they have run out of ideas... But we do have a bit of a running joke regarding dressing gowns so I was half tempted to get an unusual one. (he has 3 and loves them, I think they're evil

1) hot air balloon trip

2) nice waistcoat

3) voucher for a good pub meal ( we love this)

4) a trip to silverstone

A weekend break with you.. Could be a stay at home, get a good movie, take away food, maybe a warm oil rub down.. Not expensive but very memorable.

I think little things can mean so much more.

Silly as it may sound I got B a coffee cup with his initial on for when he's at mine, something of his own when he's in my house, because I want him to feel it's his home too when he's in it. It's often the thought behind the gift that means the most.
