As a woman who knows lots of women in my experience if we are wearing short skirts in the cold it’s for fashion certainly not to advertise to men haha. In regards to wearing makeup it’s so I look in the mirror and think I look good, I wear it to work it makes me feel good about myself, I’m not advertising for men at work, I’m a married woman. | |||

Secondly will Mr N like the way I look. Thirdly do I look attractive/acceptable/stylish to other people. If I'm going to my parents house I apply factor number four which is am I showing too much cleavage. I only seek approval for how I look from Mr N but I do want to present myself well to the outside world. I'm not ashamed to admit that I enjoy admiration from other men and women either. | |||

I still look like me but with a more uniform complexion ( dark skin pigmentation isn't always uniform) and longer eyelashes. I prefer to have makeup on but that's down to my insecurities due to certain experiences relating to my skin tone. I'd consider it, yes. It's unlikely to happen unless I radically changed how I look though.

"More to the point what do you think they're advertising? Their real looks. I had an ex and she did her best to never let me see her face with no Make Up. But advertising, like a commodity that's for sale? Do you really mean that like it reads? When women are on nights out etc a lot are advertising for men. They don't wear short dresses in the cold for no reason. I wear them to look good I don’t get dressed up for men, only me
I think that it's a mistake a lot of men make, assuming that women dress and wear make up for their benefit.
Quite a lot of women actually dress and wear make up to impress other women.
I don't do it for either of those reasons- Like Queen - I do it for myself.
I take several factors into account when I dress and apply make up.
Firstly do I like the way I look.
Secondly will Mr N like the way I look.
Thirdly do I look attractive/acceptable/stylish to other people.
If I'm going to my parents house I apply factor number four which is am I showing too much cleavage.
