So tell them now it's looking to be a dodgy day and you don't want to let them down at the last minute... asking if they can make it another day.

have you ever read my profile???? only been a swinger for a few months and it is alot different than my usual business meetings or porn shoots. Asking for advice is nothing to be ashamed of it's how we learn

best way to not sound like a time waster is to rearrange the meet when you cancel, we hate it when people say " sorry but blah blah.. but we will arrange to meet again soon" then never do!

also as others have said.. give as much notice as possible so they have time to plan to go out etc

Even if you still want the meet but won't know until the day,giving someone notice so they have time to arrange another meet is the best thing to do

You can arrange something else with them another time if they still want that

I've always thought that 12 hours notice is sufficient time for someone to arrange an alternative if it's not possible. Ideally I'd let someone know sooner, but it's not always the case when someone injures themselves or develops delhi-belly during the day.

Honesty - a straightforward, straight-out explanation of the situation, *and* an offer of an alternative date, I think would pacify the bigger part of those who might take questionable exception to being put off at short notice.

We've had cancels literally an hour or two before, and while it does put a sudden bump into the evening, we usually go ahead and enjoy the evening regardless.

be honest even when arranging tell people your work situation so they know that things out of your control can happen last min, and if there is a question of a possible canx let the people concerned know with as much notice then it doesnt come unexpected...treat others how you would want someone to treat you

I've been in a similar situation before when there's been a chance that something may crop up to scupper a meet and I've been honest upfront about it and given them the option of going ahead but with a short notice confirmation or cancellation or rearranging it and thats been fine. I'd also advise you to speak to them on the phone as it's easier to explain the situation. Ms

Things happen, and many take priority over a meet. I have cancelled before, and would not call anyone who cancelled a 'timewaster', (as opposed to people who just don't turn up). I would accept & rearrange, unless they cancelled on a number of occasions, then I would just block.
