Do you think that you're respectful of others? Is it something that's important on fab?

I apologise for the shorthanded thread intro but; Sunday!

Thoughts dear fabbers...

I like to think I'm respectful of other people's choices and desires. I respect the right to have your own opinion on the forums although so people are right arseholes and really test that respect.

According to some people I'm disrespectful because I don't always reply to messages so I guess it's all open to interpretation.

I think respect is a two way thing, people expecting a reply to every message are maybe not being respectful of you...

I think it's more a case of being as you said in your first paragraph

Yes. I’m too nice for my own good at times.

I’ve been disappointed recently in the lack of respect some people have shown me.

Sadly its always been a common trend on here.

I do think that you reap what you sow to a greater degree though. There are good people on here

I think you can treat people with care and consideration and kindness, and be ‘respectful’ of them and their wishes, feelings and rights - but for me to respect someone in the definition of having a ‘deep admiration’ for them ‘elicited by their qualities/achievements/abilities’ - that gets earned.

On some level yes. But there are people on here that I have nothing but contempt and disdain for and to be honest I tend treat them with just enough respect to avoid a message from admin.

Hefty Hideaway

I feel I am respectful and remember there is a person behind the profile. Unfortunately my inbox often bears testament to this not always being reciprocated.

In addition to that having respect (the thread header) is very very different to being respectful of someone. I like to think that I'm respectful, that doesn't mean I respect them

I am respectful and it is important on here just like anywhere. Sometimes you do have to be assertive, but I always do it in a polite way.

Be kind to one another.

Respect... Yes I am...

But people inhere certainly test you beyond measure.

Especially if you have a different view...

Just look at the married but playing discussion....

your imagination

Is it disrespectful not to reply to someone who mails you asking to meet when you state you're not meeting....?

Is it disrespectful not to reply to someone who doesn't match your preferences but mails you anyway asking you to make an exception...?

Is it disrespectful not to reply to guys who send cock pics even though your profile says you don't like receiving them....?

I think most of us give respect where its due

I try to be, until they don’t reciprocate, then they have no role in my swinging life. There was an outstanding example of that a few days ago.

And I think respect is crucial to swinging. As someone said elsewhere on the forums, swinging is the art of fucking each other and then respectfully moving on.

I’m respectful.... I treat people nicely ( I hope ) and wouldn’t knowingly do anything to hurt another person.

You’ve got to have a sense of decency ( irony I know ) but unfortunately not all are the same
