It could be that I can’t stand any type of hot alcohol, that stuff - what’s it called? Hot wine with herbs or honey. Just the smell puts me off.

Plus of course my kids are way beyond the magic of Xmas stage.

West Yorkshire.

Not always, we are off to the Skipton Christmas Festive market tomorrow. Main street will be closed to through traffic lots of different stalls, enjoyable few hours looking at all the local Dales crafts & produce, that make great Christmas gifts and nice festive food stalls to savour too.

Bruges is best Christmas market.

Ice rink, horses and carriages, food, drink and music.

Fantastic medieval town with lots of beer and tons of chocolate.

Definetely my favourite place

You would but they aren't a new phenomenon and are fairly similar around the country

I tried Prague last year and the main one was pretty commercialised....some of the smaller ones were better, more individual. I might check out Bruges next year.

They are. Maybe the man has only been to one to decide they are no good.

I have only been to one, bored me to tears too, but then it was the first day of one ( we didn't know and were visiting the area ) and you couldn't look at anything anyway because there were so many people there so I am with the OP...a waste of time for me
