"What do you do to combat the feeling?"

Take a break from technology including social media, fab etc and get back to old school basics and do what you like to do whether that be fishing, music, walking or whatever makes you smile

Manchester (she/her)

Carry on, mostly.

Find things that provide a short term, medium term, and long term boost, and do those.

Talk to someone, work out if I need help.

From the words of monty python;

Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown,

And things seem hard or tough,

And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,

And you feel that you've had quite eno-o-o-o-o-ough,

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving

And revolving at 900 miles an hour.

It's orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it's reckoned,

The sun that is the source of all our power.

Now the sun, and you and me, and all the stars that we can see,

Are moving at a million miles a day,

In the outer spiral arm, at 40, 000 miles an hour,

Of a galaxy we call the Milky Way.

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars;

It's a hundred thousand light-years side to side;

It bulges in the middle sixteen thousand light-years thick,

But out by us it's just three thousand light-years wide.

We're thirty thousand light-years from Galactic Central Point,

We go 'round every two hundred million years;

And our galaxy itself is one of millions of billions

In this amazing and expanding universe.

Our universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding,

In all of the directions it can whiz;

As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,

Twelve million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is.

So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,

How amazingly unlikely is your birth;

And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space,

'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth!

Don’t think I’ve ever been tired of life to be honest. If I’m feeling a bit pissed off I usually take the dog out for a long walk or go and annoy my friends!

Do something that makes you really glad to be alive? I dance, ride a nice horse, go to a really good gig or festival, and if I'm lucky have some good sex!

I grab my rucksack, get my boots on, and take a yomp up a mountain. The peace and quiet, coupled with the strenuous exercise focuses my mind.

Central

Slow down, listen and engage with myself, so that I understand and am in synch with me. Then nourish and heal myself, how I need it. I'll engage with others, helping me along and probably reduce anything around me that's impacting me, including stress.

Hefty Hideaway

I’m lucky in that I have 3 wonderful best friends.

I send out the Bitch Signal. We dust of Cards Against Humanity, drink and put the world to rights. Either we fall asleep slumped on each other or hit the town and dance til 6am.

Never failed me yet!!

Mate that’s a shit feeling. Been there.

Short term my friends helped me out and kept me busy. Always good to go for a pint and chat rubbish.

I thought deeply about what would make me happy and went out and changed things for the better.

Hope you feel better soon.

kilmarnockish

Put on some heels, a very inappropriate dress, the reddest lipstick known to woman, the biggest smile possible, load the bag with condoms and lube, and go find a random victim to provide me with pleasure and take me away from it all.

Failing that, a beach, a sunset, a walk.

Easier talking to a stranger sometimes, open up completely and in confidence..

I feel this a lot. I get tired of it but I also get bored of it. Sometimes even continuing to breathe seems the most tedious fucking thing.

Annoyingly, I know one breath at a time I will move on from that feeling eventually. So yeah even though it frustrates me I just set myself one aim: keep breathing. It’s basic. It’s simple.

Also if it’s recurrent do consider a trip to the doctors for some support x
