Where is Sheffield?

Jump to newest

By *olgate OP   Man

on the road to nowhere in particular

After a conversation my “friends in the north” that live near Leeds I was under the impression that Sheffield was in the midlands. This week while staying overnight in Sheffield, the locals claimed that Sheffield is definitely in the north.

Now another conversation with somebody from Harrogate has reinforced the opinion that Sheffield is definitely in the Midlands.

Can any enlightened fabsters please come up with a definitive answer?

Sheffield definitely north. North stops at Chesterfield / Mansfield neck of the woods. Cornish should be honorary northerners.

But why bother reading a map when you can ask the forumites?
