Bristol East

Did you see it on the telly tonight?

Wow!

First six months of my life were spent in a flat next to the gates of the naval base and yard.

First paid job I had was selling sweets, fags, pies and crisps to workers coming and going on the buses.

And one of my most recent jobs, a very very little job, was to help make the ship.

I didn't know whether to watch the ship or the scenery.

Does it have a 'For Sale' sign on it?

Lol

HMS Prince of Wales might be for sale - we cannot afford to put any aeroplanes on it lol

When sh goes operational in 2020, all the aircraft and most of the aircrew will be US Marines. Reminds me of the old building society advert..'If only I'd have saved, I could have had...'..

At least we’ve got 2 carriers now, it’s the aircraft and crew we need.

I don't need to watch it, I was part of the build crew and I'm part of the trials crew- s'why I'm over in the USA right now and been living 5 hours behind everyone

Season 2 of the show will be out some point in the early part of next year.

I hadn't appreciated how big a ship it is, until I saw it in a dry dock with the old aircraft carrier tied up in the next one. HMS Illustrious (I think that's the name) looked like a toy ship by comparison.
