Mine is set to only between ages 28 - 48 can mail me.. So why have I just received a mail from a 22 yr old??

you may have messaged or winked them in the past - that will override any block - even if it was just to send a "thanks but no thanks"

check his profile - as a site supporter you'll be able to see if you've mailed him in the past - the other way around the block would be for him to change his age, then mail you, then change it back.

No only that one specific person who mailed you can... all other 20 something males will still be blocked. Previous contact will be the only thing that allows someone to over ride the filters you have put in place.
