"I don't really understand people that do housework. Assuming you have a job that pays better than minimum wage, wouldn't most people rather work an extra hour or two in order to pay a cleaner? " Indeed! Now that I have just started working full-time again, why should I waste precious hours of my free time in domestic drudgery?

But neither of us do Any housework because we both loath it and a cleaner is £11 an hour, 4 hours gets your house spotless.

"I'm the strange one that actually enjoys it! 15 minutes to half an hour of an evening each evening before bed and it doesn't build up. What I do dispise though is ironing. Can't stand it! " My laundrette will take a worn shirt, wash it and iron it for £2!!! Life is really too short to be doing things you hate.

"Does anyone else loathe housework as much as I do? I mean, really hate it with a passion. I've tried being Zen and Buddhist about it to no avail. I've only cleaned the upstairs bathroom so far and I'm already grumpy, exhausted, and worst of all, have broken a nail (despite wearing rubber gloves). Grrrr! " just give me the rubber gloves!! You make yourself comfortable and let me begin

"I'm with you OP - housework is pure drudgery! Especially as it's always done in my limited time off work. I can't justify having a cleaner - and I don't like the thought of someone going through my stuff - so I have to suffer it I'm doing a good Job of ignoring it today - I just don't want to!" Yes I understand that. You have to find the right cleaner and trust them (eg not to unplug the fridge to plug in the hoover, which happened to me once)!

I tend to clean as I go so never have a big cleaning day....15 mins a day is all you need. I much prefer to clean than sit and see something that's dirty or untidy x

"It’s all about having a routine. Start high work low. Cleaning is easy, tidying is harder. Bedroom make your bed first then chuck everything on your bed whilst you polish any surfaces, or if there’s clothes to put away or to the washing basket. High sister around all the tops of your walls and down the corners of the room, wipe over skirts light fittings and door frames. Bathrooms are easy enough, sitting room high dust again and down the corners, light fittings, skirts, door frames, plump cushions on sofa, dust all surfaces, TVs etc. Kitchens are easy enough, Hoover and moo everywhere at the end. Wipe over radiators with fabric softener. Zaflora on your floors. I must be a freak because I enjoy cleaning or more the satisfaction of sitting in the evening with a cuppa tea and everywhere is tidy. " I want to like cleaning and I only live in a small flat but I can never find the motivation! I follow that Mrs hinch on Instagram and her house is beautiful. I buy all the stuff lol My nan was disgusted when j said I paid sineibd to clean my flat.

The smell of zoflora or dettol and a good old yankee candle perhaps I should buy less Yankees and buy more nice lingerie now I seem to be going to clubs more can never have enough!
