i really want to try going to a club but so nervous to go alone has anyone done this or do this whats your thoughts?

I often go alone. It's how I prefer it.

In all of the clubs I have ever been to the staff take really good care of you to ensure you are only on your own if you want to be.

You won't be the only person in there alone, I can almost guarantee it.

i did go to a club once with a women who id met outside the club scene, she persuaded me to go with her, but once we got inside, she quickly abandoned me for her regular club fuck, needless to say i’ve never bothered since.

Therein lies the quandry, nervous anyway about what to expect, wether youll meet anyone etc hence wanting to go with a plus one.

I have a conception that the ratio of men to women would be akin to this place, going with an experienced club goer would be a must have for me, id shit myself going alone or being dropped like the described selfish cow.

I've been going alone to clubs for years.

Yes, the first time in any new club can be a little nervous.

As it doesn't matter what people say or how many reviews you read.

You don't know what to 'expect' as such till you take that one step that takes you through the door.

Once inside, that's the hard part done.

You may have chatted with someone online and they will see you inside for a chat.

Don't expect someone to chaperone you all night.

And remember, these things take time.

Yes, they are a lot of fun, people are friendly and it's great being around like-minded people.

But you have to accept your new.

I still go alone but have made many great friends that I'll always know someone to go and chat with.

In that very rare occasion where I know nobody?

I'll just go strike up a conversation with someone new, or go and chill in a hottub and relax.

Treat it as you've just moved to a brand new area and are going into the local pub.

It may have a great reputation but you don't know anyone and have to make an effort.

You wouldn't expect everyone in the pub to go..

"Someone new... Let's all go say hello"

If you go sit in that corner? Most people would just walk by.

Go to the bar, chat and start simple small talk if someone comes to the bar.

Tell people that you are new and if a conversation starts?

Ask can you sit with them for a bit?

Sometimes you'll be 'rejected' as such as they may be busy?

Mainly people will be fine.

Just don't hog their evening.

Find an event that may be a little bit more social focused.

And just give it a go.

Like anything in life, it works for some and not for others.

Don't put the effort in! Then you'll get nothing out of it.

The hardest part is stepping through the door.

So just give it a go and cross it off your list of things to try and experience.

I've never been to any of the clubs but would like to, I just wouldn't feel comfortable entering on my own.Anyway, there doesn't appear to be any within a reasonable travel distance of me.

If possible?

Plan yourself a road trip.

Many events are advertised well in advance, so find one you fancy trying and book yourself a couple of days away somewhere new.

Most clubs will have changing facilities and if you post a meet status?

It may gather interest from someone who will at least be a contact / friendly face inside for you.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it once your in.

The first time I went to a club, I went alone. I didn't want to be beholden to anyone. Sadly, since it was a small club, it was used by a lot of regulars who obviously knew eachother, so it was a bit of a struggle.

However, I wouldn't let that put me off, and would still go alone again.

Many things in life involve some element of risk - once you accept that, it's then just about the type/amount of risks that you're willing to undertake. When I was a kid I used to find my limits and then get excited by going to the next level, what seemed almost 'too much' and it's a good habit to adopt. You go to a club alone - the worst case scenario, you hate it, get ignored?

I started to visit clubs alone many years ago - it was exciting and I was nervous the first time or so. I soon realised that as I'd done my research well, I'd chosen a great place and pretty much knew what to expect. People were friendly, it was great.

I'd encourage anyone to just go along - or become friends with someone else, if they are really feeling inhibited about it and then go with others: but I'd encourage the former.

A road trip is fine if one drives, sadly I no longer do, so it's public transport for me and getting home late is a real mission ...I am happy to stay over in hotels and such but I would rather travel with someone really and share any travel costs ...
