Somewhere In The Ether…

Random Lamas fact: Lorenzo Lamas played ex cop-framed for a murder he didn’t commit (cliche much?) Reno Raines in Renegade for five seasons.

He also married his female co-star Kathleen Kinmont.

He was also in the movie Grease (but I can’t remember who he played).

Um.....not much more to say about him really but he is at least more interesting than Steven Seagal who as far as I am aware, has no tenuously Llama associated stories connected with him whatsoever, unless of course, someone can confirm that his very bloody obvious wig is made from Llama fur?)

Not true current buying prices are in the region of

£8 a kilo for white fine grade skirted fleeces.

£3 a kilo for coloured fine grade un-skirted fleeces.

I've eaten Alpaca burgers in Bolivia or Peru (can't remember which), a bit like lamb from what I remember.

Is there a market for Llama or Alpaca milk in the UK? I have read that their yield is notably less than many other mammals but is very rich nutritionally.

Random Llama fact: It’s a common misperception but Liverpool FC do NOT actually boast a Llama midfielder.

Independently performed tests have finally proven that Adam Lallana has no Camelid DNA whatsoever.

As to whether this is a good or conversely, bad factor regarding his pitch performance however, I am admittedly presently unsure....

Somewhere In The Ether…

Random Llama factoid number 847:

Due to their placid temperaments coupled with the ease to tame them and their relatively hardy physical stature, Llamas are frequently employed as pack carriers by the people in parts of South America.

However, note; Just because they will carry your bags, don’t take the piss! - Llamas will only accept so much weight before typically going on strike so to speak.

When they’ve had enough, they will often lay down in protest or else have even been known to commence spitting at, kicking or butting their owners.

Good on them say I.

(I wonder if they’ve set up a Llamas Union?)
