Do you all drink lots of water. It was the only thing i wasnt doing diet wise and i started drinking 3 pints a day. Im into my 3rd week. Ive kind of increased it to 4 pints. I couldnt stop weeing to start with but thats got better and im finding im craving water, if im "due" to have some i start getting a bit of a fuzzy head and im convinced i feel better for it, definetly dont feel so bloated. Ive gotten into a routine now, 2 large mugs before each meal and just started having 2 before bed as well. I will up it to 2 in the morning when i get up as well. So that will be 5 pints a day

I used to drink allot when I was in the office working, used to buy bottles for the girls I worked with out of habit. Water is soo good for you, but we hardlt drink as much as we should. Once drinking I realised if I stopped I would get headaches because i wasn't having my normal intake. BTW It's very good for your skin as well ladies

Water is just as important as food but as we live in the UK, the mild climate fools you into thinking you can get away with little fluid intake.

Water helps in more ways than you think.

I (Bob) drink about 2-3 litres per day. I only drink carbonated water, hate the still stuff.

I drink it for no particular reason other than the fact that I enjoy it.

Mind you, over the past 8 days or so, most of the water has been mixed with hops and barley and fermented for a while, but after tonight the party's over and it's back to the bottles of Lidl's finest mineral water

I enjoy water too - as long as it has not been passed - lol gave up all the sweetened ones and I am sure it has helped keep the weight under control

actually you can over do it water wise... most diets say aim for about 2 litres a day... which is actually quite easy to do spread across... 1 have 1/2 a litre before i leave for work... 1 litre at work.. and 1/2 litre when i get home....

If your pee isn't clear it means [usually] you are not drinking enough fluids. Drinking to much water can cause issues with salt levels and the like, but usually when you get to 8 litres a day or so!

If you are drinking "quantities" of water... Sip it, dont neck it...!!

If you are unsure about how important water is to the workings of the human body... Google "Dehydration"...

It'll rock ya world...;-);-);-)

"does drinking sugar free squash count or flavoured water?"

Yes it does. Drinking lots of water is realy good for you, if you are woried about drinking too much water, take some salt on your food.

Having d*unk lots of water for most of my life I can tell the diference between water in diferent regions. I don't like the taste of the water in London, Bristol water tastes the best..... Strangely, I don't like bottled mineral water as it doesn't have anything in it to make the water taste of anything....

Drinking too much water can affect the kidneys to such an extent they cant cope and the end result can be fatal.

but not drinking enough can bring on cystitis!

very few people will actually manage to consume enough to do damage, but many are not drinking enough. if you're pee is straw coloured then you're getting it right.

and for all of those drinking bottled water, uk tap water is pretty much the best in the world and is regulated and monitored in a way that bottled isn't. in fact some bottled is just tap water!!

in a few places it tastes a little different, but if you can taste chlorine then put some in a jug and leave to stand - chlorine will pass off as a gas and leave the water untainted.

of course as a yorkshire woman i get to drink the best stuff, filtered through the limestone dales with a better mineral content then most mineral waters!

smug?? bigoted?? moi!

(disclaimer: i do not, nor have i ever worked for the water board. i'm simply a money canny yorkshire woman who sees no point in buying something of a lower standard than we already get piped into our homes!)

One of my resolutions is to drink more water for various reasons.

The problem is some people hear that something is good for them and then don't think of the consequences of 'too much'

I can't remember the name for dying through drinking exessive amounts of water - probably hydro sommat...

I do remember a woman dying in American in the Wee for a Wii competition some years ago and other reports of people dying from ridding the body of essential minerals through over doing the water.

Strict rule - do NOT drink water FASTER than your body can get rid of it.

That rule of 8 glasses per day has long been proven wrong.

I started drinking sparkling water recently. Its actually very nice, I try to drink 2L per day.

I find it easier to drink when compared to normal water.

No. I rarely drink water. We get a lot of fluid from our food and from other non caffeinated drinks. Consuming litres of water a day isn't something I've ever done or will ever do unless it's very hot.

think of 2 litres as 6 "fizzy can size" drinks a day..... the trick is to spread it out during the entire day, not just at work! (so 1 went you get up... and once when you have a mid morning break, one at lunch and you are already half way there....)

I gave up fizzy drinks when I gave birth and really don’t miss them anymore. But if I’m feeling drained I’ll have a wee sip of irn bru and it perks me back up

We walked 5 miles in Miami with only the dregs of a warm doctor pepper and it completely stopped my constant fizzy juice consumption. I do sip a can of monster over the day but that’s because I stopped drinking tea and coffee at work

Urine colour is a good guide to how much to drink....if it's the colour of Sunny Delight, maybe a little more water is needed....if it's as crystal clear and sparkling as a mountain spring you may be overdoing the designer water.

Ideally urine should be urine colour.
