"Better to google help lines and pass them on to them or advise the person in need of help what to google. " But my question if you were to post details such as that in the thread rather than in a PM would it be the right thing to do

But my question if you were to post details such as that in the thread rather than in a PM would it be the right thing to do In what way? " Well as we know the rules of the site say you should not post contact details emails websites etc in the forums but say someone was crying out for help and saying things that you were concerned about. And you tried to PM them but they had blocked all messages so to try help them you posted in the thread details of where they could get support. Your not advertising a competitor website only a support group or professional support group. This means your breaking the fab rules So should you just go ahead and post or basically say Jump to avoid a telling off from the site

"Get creative. You can signpost without giving the specific address. It is a shame we can post news articles but not support networks. " It is a shame, some people have some very useful information on here, for us all.

If they're on here they have the internet so they can Google. I wouldn't tell someone to jump just so that I'd avoid a forum ban.
