Somewhere down south

As some of you know I get a teeny tiny bit excited about Christmas

Yes, I know it's still November, but I saw three houses that had Christmas decorations up yesterday

What makes Christmas so special to you?

Mold

Going to get the Christmas tree with the sprogs.

We buy from a local plantation, go up there about this time of year and put a tag on the tree we want.

We then go and cut it a week prior to Christmas and drag it home

I used to love Christmas, I'm less fond now I have lost key family members but I do love making the house look cosy and festive. It needs to wait till December though

Seeing family sending cards to old friends and getting phone calls. Its the social interaction that makes xmas special.

I had Christmas singers at my door last night!

Caught me off guard! Gave them couple of quid shut the door then thought to myself wtf it’s mid November!

your imagination

Honestly... The thing I love most about Christmas is that the majority of people seem to set bickering and fighting aside and are just generally nicer to each other. It's almost like 'goodwill to all men' is an unwritten rule. Happy people make people happy

Finally having a Christmas day off! Not happened in a very long time! Much guzzling of JD and actually spending time with family!

Tamworth

I spend it with my parents so I love the chance to spend a few days together with other family and friends. We have a few traditional family visits but mostly it’s quiet and we can relax. Plus the time to slow down and rest rather than rushing around getting chores done.

Carollers, you don't see it so much around the neighborhoods, but in town over December it gives me a warm feeling to stand and listen to beautiful voices singing songs of good cheer

We aren't religious people,and

I'm not much of a Xmas fan,yes I know, grouchy old humbug, but having young grandchildren does kind of bring the magic of Xmas back.

Watching the excitement build in their little lives, and their smiley happy faces as the big day approaches is what makes Xmas for me.

The tree! I spend forever scrolling through Pinterest for ideas! Oh and the yankee candle 'christmas cookie' and I second Costco's mince pies! The kids love it so it makes me happy. But I'm another one that won't start until 1st December. Over heard a woman in the shop today saying she's got all of her christmas shopping done and wrapped already! how?!
