If I win a lottery I want to do an experiment

Build a shell of a building, no furniture or doors, holes for windows with maybe some plastic sheeting, make it big, like quarter stadium kind and 6/8 stories high

Then put the most basic of plumbing but only pipes but with running water and put electric in too

Then leave it

Like completely open.

Nothing to stop anyone using it.

And see what happens.

I think it’s an interesting idea. A waste of money, but an interesting idea!

The council will probably cite a health and safety violation and condon it off from the general public I’m afraid

Originally as a self effective homeless shelter but then the dream popped when I reasoned vandalism ect would probably come into play

Sadly this is England, it would be on fire within an hour or closed by the police because it had been infested by crack and heroin addicts and their dealers.

If I have a few quid I would put up a hostel, basics of a bed, shower, hair cuts and tools such as cheap suits, clothes cleaning facilities transport costs etc to help get people back in jobs.

The trouble is if you actually want to work and better yourself the jobs are out there and the help is available-jobs might not be in your area but then you have to be self motivated to go get them and relocate etc.

Yes I know lots and lots of factors come into these things but if you want it only you have the power in yourself to make it happen.
