Long Drives

I love a long drive. Windows down and hitting the open road with gorgeous views. A trip to the Lake District or the Peak District is always fab.

However, the days are a bit short now and it’s a little cold outside to be out driving with the windows down.

Is there anywhere else that you guys know of that’s a good drive with a scenic route. Thinking of doing an autumnal drive.

I still have the windows down but wear a coat. And whack the heating on full, blowing on my feet to keep me warm.

I need locations people.

I’ve done Lake District, Peak District, Cotswolds, Jurassic Coast and a couple of others in the summer. But, where to go at this time?

Down to the New Forest. The A3 is fairly scenic and reasonably fast. There are some lovely Surrey & Hampshire villages on the way

Nothing like a blast, lucky enough to be on the road alot (Europe) and always seeking new routes...

Total freedom and choice of nice vehicles (great cruisers or out n out weapons - very man cave thing to say but you'll get it).

Get yourself up further North - up in Dumfriesshire and across to the Borders is lovely....... though I’d wear a good warm coat

High Peak, Derbyshire then, try some of the Staffordshire moorlands the Roaches are rather nice at this time of year imo.

Coast to coast further up between Morecambe and Scarborough... Takes you over the moors and very scenic. Similar to your Snake Pass drive to be fair.....

Take the A40 from Gloucester through mid Wales right down to Pembrokeshire. Some great scenery along the way.

The most annoying thing is getting out of London. All the time goes to waste here.

But, shall see if I can rustle up a route.

The Land that time forgot (Norfolk)

I quite often go up north for a fuck and sometimes take the A628 as it's nicer than the M62.
