I love autumn, all the trees on their autumn colours, nice walks in Peaks and the occasional walk to a country pub. Problem is when I get home my garden is coated in leaves. Trying to be glass half full about it but am about to start a day of leaf clearing

My street has been conveniently constructed into a wind tunnel where all the leaves are conveniently deposited right at my front door whilst my neighbours gardens are completely clear.

I swear I could light a bonfire in my hallway each time I open my door!

Autumn is the best time to go for a walk around Fountains Abbey near Ripon, it's stunning with all the different colours

Would you like me to come clear your leaves once I’m done here?

Why not just leave them to naturally decompose ?

It almost makes me cry. I tidy the lot up and then I open the curtains the next morning and they are all back. I blame my neighbour dumping his over the fence.

somewhere in the Shire of Derby

First time in 8 years i haven't got that problem since the large trees behind our homes were removed after a 70ft tall one came down at 4am one morning in January and smashed into our homes resulting in the landlord having a lot of damage to repair at a huge cost.

I watched a woman with a leaf blower blowing all the leaves off her drive onto the main road. Perfect surface for cars to skid on.

Autumn a multi layered kalidescope of reds golds greens browns, crisp cold mornings and warm nights wrapped in low sunlights mists and half hidden mysteries....

It's good to be out with my dogs on such days....

"You can make leaf mould mulch! Amazing!"

Or leave them for the worms to enrich your garden.
