I’ve been so vocal on social media about this, received a lot of hate but I don’t care. It’s disgusting.

Vile.

If r*oe was all about what underwear a women wears, or how up for it she is, children & virgins wouldn’t be r*ped either.

I feel for the poor girl.

Does it explain how he knew what knickers she had on before he r*ped her?

Lawyer is a total cunt shocker!

Next they’ll be saying well she has breasts and a vag, what did she expect! Archaic and I hope that the jury dismissed the “evidence” with the contempt it deserved.

"The defence lawyer should hang her head in shame for that! Yes..you read that correctly, the defence lawyer was a woman!!"

The girl was 17 years old, maybe the lawyer was jealous that a 17 year old had better lingerie than her.

In all seriousness. I thought what a woman chooses to wear, defines wether or not 'she is up for it' Went out with the ark.

Has echoes of this really tragic case from quite a few years ago:

I know... Neanderthal attitudes like this make me ashamed to be Irish at times. The old Catholic notions that 'good girls' should wear sensible white cotton knickers.

Sadly I suspect its also the reason why many assaults, etc., go unreported.... because despite what the law may state, the onus is not to prove the perpetrators' guilt, but to prove the victims' innocence.

When it was the fashion for men to wear their jeans etc half way down their arse with boxers on show, that wasn’t meaning they were up for it. Neither Is wearing a thong or even no underwear. Consent is what it’s about.

Perhaps we were wrong. Perhaps that fashion really meant they wanted their arses plundered.

Actually that's exactly what it means.

It's a "statement" of availability that started in American prisons.

If these idiots knew what it meant I'm sure they'd pull their trousers up pretty damn quick.

In relation to the "evidence" being used in the case, it's despicable.

I wonder what drawers the lawyer was wearing when she held up the evidence?

How many thongs are in her knicker drawer......

Perhaps they know that.

Considering the amount of Fab straight men, must be the same percentages of 'straight' men outside Fab.

Correct... The practice is called 'Jailing', and did (and still does) signify sexual availability in prisons where scrubs are used as uniforms rather than jumpsuits.
