I don't do extravagant as I'm not one for material things.

I paid £74 for a small bottle of perfume recently, because I loved the smell. I wouldn't usually.

Probably when I paid £3500 for a television some years ago. Could get a Plasma for just over £1000 at the time. This was a bully CRT, but it was Bang & Olufsen.

This , my friends are always teasing me about bargain hunting, but they don't complain when I find us all a deal somewhere nice for 2BB1D for less than 100 per couple, or a case of their favourite wine on sale

Think the biggest spend purely for myself is my regular waxing. I do it for myself (fwb doesn't really care), and it really benefits nobody but me at times, because nobody else sees it, but it's my treat and amounts to about €1000 per year

Manchester (she/her)

The very first thing I seriously splashed out on was a watch, about ten years ago. It's probably mid range and at this point the display is a little dated, but I've taken really good care of it and it has sentimental value.

More recently, working on my health. Private rehabilitation where the NHS left me after my injury earlier this year. I'm not knocking the NHS, they did a lot for me, but there's good enough and there's what I'm happy with.

That's the problem isn't it. Years ago I saw a dress in a very expensive shop window. I saved for ages and went in to buy it. When I tried it on it looked awful

That's why I don't pay a lot of money for my clothes. The dress I'm wearing in my profile pic was £25.

I always buy quality clothes and shoes, not designer which is a ripoff, but well made items in good quality materials.

Cheap clothing is made of crappy fabrics which dont feel nice to wear and dont generally hang well or last with washing. I'm fuckin worth it.

I have a lot of latex and that costs me much more per item than my regular clothes, that's my biggest extravagant. I do have a lot of clothes, shoes, boots, and a lingerie collection that I have built up gradually over years and I keep my items for a long time and look after them so I don't consider that such an extravagance.

I don’t class my car as an extravagance because I pay monthly for it. The biggest single item purchase was just shy of 5k for a watch I treated myself too after gaining my medical degree and getting offered a great job at a big city hospital.

Definitely the nearly new car I bought this year... I'm not one for taking out loans for anything but made an exception with the aim of paying this off in 2 years. Sometimes think I was mad for doing so but do love driving the car a lot so that helps!
