I don’t acknowledge them at all. I noticed I had over 3000 winks the other day - god knows the last time I just clicked on them to get rid of the number

We use a wink if we like a profile and if We get a wink back will always send a message. So seems to work for us.

I have winked when I didn't have tinpme to write a message but have never had a response. But I always reply to them with a message rather than wink back.

Actually a good ice breaker and can't see why they're not used more

I occasionally use them if there isn't much on a profile to go on enough to be able to construct a message, but don't do it often

I do if I get one, they are showing an interest and you show you are interested by replying, kinda depends how you reply as to whether it goes forward or not

I sometimes use the wink button as an ice breaker...sort of not going straight into to invading your inbox sort of thing. Think most ignore or never look at them though, maybe direct to the inbox is the way forward lol......

The wink button is there, why not use it? It’s a way of saying “Oy, are we your type?!?” and it cuts out the awkwardness of replying to a long thought out message with a “no thankyou” if your not interested. As far as we’re concerned if we wink someone and receive no reply that means “no thankyou”. It’s just another part of the filter process for us.

We always look at who’s winked us every time we log into our account. It doesn’t take a few minutes to flick through them, obviously a good profile pic has to catch our eye for us to stop and look. We have met some lovely people starting from a little x

I love a wink but in all my years of being on and off fab I have only had in the low double figures from woman and couples on here and only two of those led to meets. I think it’s just too easy to wink at everything in a scattershot way and therefore it becomes a bit pointless. Equally though if you invest the time in constructing a message that’s personal and not just a cut and paste job and you find it deleted or unread that can be a bit soul destroying. I wish there was a better system than winking to declare an interest but there isn’t so I will carry on winking to the select few and hope for the best

If there are shared interests may wink back or message

Or wait to see if they follow up wink
