"Don't modern cars have handbrakes? Every car I had to sit behind at lights etc on the way home from work didn't seem to have one because the driver had to use the brakes to keep their car stationary, ffs! Anybody find this irritating? " yes i do actually, like the inability to pull in on single track roads in time, over shooting the passing place by 3 yards, hogging the road, making me reverse 50 yrds plus..i know, its because you cant reverse..same people i reckon

"I hardly ever use my handbrake, unless it's a long light but my clutch control is perfect. " I'm guessing you don't mind burning your clutch out then?

"I only use my handbrake in a traffic jam In fact it took me six months to realise my car had auto stop after I bought it. I put the handbrake on on one rare occasion and my engine cut out and I thought I had stalled it lol " That's quite scary to think that people are driving vehicles without actually knowing how to operate them

"I love it when you pull up to a red light and the stationary car in front has to press his brakes on just to let you see he's stationary even though you can see the big piece of coloured metal in front of you and you are slowing to a halt " I wave a flag

I have been driving longer than I can remember, I have only had to replace a clutch once and that was under warranty because the part failed.

"I hardly ever use my handbrake, unless it's a long light but my clutch control is perfect. I'm guessing you don't mind burning your clutch out then? " Exactly! When I passed my test (I passed first time in 1981, 10 days after passing ma bike test), I had to do a hill start and the guy in front of me nearly rolled back into me

"You shouldn’t have your foot on the brakes at traffic lights, especially in the dark, or indicate for the whole duration of the red light. I’m considerate to those behind me so it’s always parking brake on and will only indicate on an amber light. " This pisses me. Off too. People who don't indicate at the right time. Iike to know which way the car in front is turning so I can change lanes if need be.
