Alongside the caring and li6ving side.... let her know she is sexy,, still worthy of making love to and attractive. The physical intamacy can be difficult but just as important especially if she has a high sex drive or has had in the past x

Ahh sorry to hear this. It must be a really difficult time for both of you.

Just be there for your wife. Make her feel attractive and wanted with your words and actions.

Talk about it - your fears/hopes, what’s worrying you & her.

Speak to the medical & nursing team on the ward and ask them about supporting her & also support for you.

Hope it all works out.

All the best.

Sorry to hear your wife has this... Wishing her a speedy and full recovery

I think listening and understanding through all the peaks and troughs ahead will be important. Be prepared to face your own demons and challenges as you go through this with her... Its also not going to be easy for you either!

I'd advise audio recording consultations so she can listen back again later..its very hard to take everything in at once and therefore ask all the right questions when you have the chance. Reviewing the conversation again later will allow her to note questions for next time and making the critical decisions about her care

Good luck OP x

"Does she know your on here?I'm not judging you but if she's Ill........."

Horrible news, my thoughts and best wishes are with your wife.

Can't help wondering this too though ^^^. You've got a status up for Kik chat, which seems like the last thing that should be on your mind right now?

She will be going through a lot of things.

If she has a breast removed she will be coming to terms, with the possibility of a loss of her femininity.

When she is going through the treatment her mind will be all over the place, stay positive and up beat for her. I was told that a positive attitude can help with treatment. Also support her through the treatment, radiotherapy knocks you for six. I can't comment of chemotherapy.

Go with her to the appointments, ask questions that she might not want or be able to. By going along you might hear things differently to her, as she might only concentrate on the negatives.

Arrange a congratulations you beat cancer party.

Really sorry to hear this. Be there for her, communicate with each other. Try and stay positive, but accept is ok to have a truly crap day.

Look at local support groups they will be a fountain of local knowledge and help.

If you have access to a Maggie's centre go there they are truly amazing places staffed by wonderful people and volunteers. Think about how you can help other people in your circumstances once you have come out of the end of this dark tunnel.

Remember you are not alone, but it can feel like it.

Support her through any decision she has to make regarding treatments whether that be chemotherapy, radiotherapy or even clinical trials. It's a tough time for her so she will need your support

west here ford shire

My wife’s been great, cancer is just another disease, don’t be afraid, talk openly, stay positive.

I’m still recovering from my first intensive radiotherapy block session (6weeks)

If you need to chat I would talk to you both

Sorry to hear of your wife's condition and some good advice above. You too will have major stress and anxiety understandably and make sure you share this with people close to you, it helps. I wish you both well.
