".. do you still get them? Is it any different if it’s a social or a play meet? Someone you’re meeting for the first time or a regular? Or are you an old hand at this now and can take it all in your stride? Can they be a good thing or a negative thing? For me the excitement / tingle is half the fun of being here. When it stops, I stop I think. Sometimes the adrenaline pumps so much I physically shake. I can’t help it, it’s just the involuntary result of the adrenaline! But it’s a good nervous for me, and 10 minutes in I’ll be fine again. What about you? " I’m a bag of nerves and I ramble on about a load of crap! As you know! And something always goes wrong. Spilt coffee over one person, my sunglasses fell off my head into his pint with another one and I went arse over tit flat on my face in a park one time. It’s no wonder I get nervous

I’m a naturally confident person so nerves don’t tend to affect me but I’m certainly bouncing off the walls with the thrill .... anticipation... butterflies... etc I have a non fab regular playmate who I’m always excited to see, he’s such a delight to be with social or play. He was an absolute gent, very polite. Conversation was a bit too deep, add that to it being close to my time of the month and I start crying. I’m a dick head. So embarrassed

"No. I have no idea how the notion of meeting another person makes people nervous. " Butterflies doesn’t have to signify negative nerves - it can signify excitement or even positive nervous excitement for me. I’m pretty sure I’d quit Fab the minute I was emotionless about meeting anybody to be honest. It’s the adrenaline rush and the butterflies that keeps me here and makes me want to meet relative strangers off the Internet!

For the people I've been meeting a long time I still get butterflies. It's excited anticipation.
