your imagination

Over the years I've noticed threads (usually 2-3 each week) here in the Lounge from guys offering to do boudoir photography sessions.

Has anyone ever taken them up on it? If not, would you be more comfortable with it if it was organised by a female?

Asking because it's something I'm thinking about doing myself

Nope. 9 times out of 10 it’s just a man with a standard camera. No prior work to show either.

And probably, yeah.

Manchester (she/her)

It's not something I'd take up from a stranger on this kind of site tbh.

You should, I know several female photographers that include boudoir in their repertoire, and do very nicely out of it. I’m guessing it’s either amodesty or comfort thing for the client.

It will be interesting though to see if this thread attracts the usual comments that similar from guys does?

I’ve had professional makeovers and photo shoots but, they have been specialists in MtF clients.

Personally wouldn’t go to a stranger on here.

Tx

That's what I thought.

I was thinking of renting a gorgeous local castle that has been fully restored inside and out as a venue, and booking 2-3 professional photographers that I know. There would be a charge of course, but by taking multiple bookings for the same date and location, should be able to keep it down to about €50 per booking.

Obviously it's a locational close to me and not accessible to most of you but in principle does it sound like something people would be interested in?

This is part of my day to day work. Do your research. Find a real photographer with a portfolio and a studio. Ideally get a package that comes with a makeup artist and spend some time discussing what you want.

Bring along images in the style you like.

Apologies, my bad. I misunderstood your post and read it as you were thinking of actually doing the photography yourself

To be honest there's loads of actual models out there you don't have to rely on amateurs on here to be willing volunteers.

A guy I'd met told me he done photography as a hobby. I asked him if he'd take some pics of me. He did and I was really pleased with the results. I'd been chatting to him for ages though and met him socially first x

I'd absolutely love to have a professional shoot, I wouldn't be too bothered if it was a guy or not. I've had a few offers from guys off here funny enough but never done anything about it because they've never been able to show me any of their work....surprise, surprise

Well as per above I do this (after a fashion) for a living so I can provide sample images. I have a full studio and many happy clients.

But google boudoir shoot and you’ll find a package. Mainly lady togs as it seems to make their clients more comfortable.
