Seams to depend on who the messanger is more so than the actual message wheather there is many replies or not.

Couldnt care less either way but its like the school playground on here at times.

"What do you mean?"

Member A puts up a post and gets a few replies but member B puts a similar post up and gets lots of replies.

To be honest I rarely look who’s posted something before I comment.

Ooooh yeah I get you.

Some folk are just more liked than others. Or maybe A put it up during a quiet time, B has put the post up when it’s busy? Maybe A has worded it weird so people can’t understand it, whereas B hasn’t?

I look at the post first if that's what you mean. If it's something I'm interested in I'll post back.

Well yes...

If you're already familiar with someone's forum presence and enjoy it, you're more likely to comment. That makes sense surely?

If someone else then makes a similar thread, you'll be less likely to respond as you've already given your opinion on the other thread.

Simples

You've gotten responses on this thread now anyway OP.. So has this made you happy?

What she said

I don't really worry about how many people are responding to me compared to others, I'm too busy enjoying myself

I tend to reply to what's said and not the person. I do sometimes try and pay attention to the who posted it though because I've often found myself accidentally 'following' people around the forum agreeing to what they've said. Must be just a coincidence but it must seem really weird!

As someone said in a different thread, the forums are like walking into a pub and saying something out loud. Those that know you and how you like to converse will react, others that don’t know you yet may be more reserved. I’m new here and still getting to know people and I dare say they’re getting used to me.

I reply to threads I want to. Iregardless of the the poster who created the thread. I don't post my own threads often. Obviously unwound like a few replies. Once I get a few, I'm happy with that. I wouldn't want to write a thread that not one person would reply to
