"Thoughts?"

There are other explanations that seem equally or less likely than that but some people seem to believe them fervently without any evidence.

My own, which I have just come up with,is that the entire universe and everything in it (including me) is a figment of my own imagination.

The right place

Doesn’t a hologram require a light source outside of itself? In which case that would be outside the universe which doesn’t make sense.

I’ve already given this question more thought than it deserves

"Thoughts?"

My thoughts are

It's highly unlikely and even if true , the same big questions are still there

At some point at some level something needs to exist to provide the context and fabric for the hologram , and some how something needs to process data to run the hologram

What are these things where do they reside, how did they evolve

The fact something has manifested this conversation illustrates substance beyond thought exists

Yup I actually believe it’s a projection/hologram. And it’s also a simulation. But does it matter? Nope we just live it and enjoy ourselves and learn about the world around us. That’s all we can do.

To the person asking if it requires a light source from outside of our universe? Nope this hologram isn’t based on light, it’s based on vibration. Think of your bed sheets. When they’re on your bed they are flat. But when you ruffle it up suddenly it ripples and waves and becomes “3D”. The theory is that the universe works under the same principles. Everything is flat but appear three dimensional due to vibrations. The theory actually works under mathematical modelling too. Weird.

DMT guy. I don’t really understand what that drug has to do with life. If anything, DMT prevents you from seeing the regular world around you.

I like testing flat earthers that say.."well I dont feel any movement..I trust my senses"

I say, spin you round 20-30 times and the world spins around you...trust your senses?

I get a lot of people think they have the next new thing that nobody else thought of...even scientists in these fields have hard work cut out for them....but lets not be daft...it takes quite a lot to get to a level that requires proper scientific inquiry..

in saying that...flattards cant comprehend simple things such as latitude/longitude..while adhering to reality. I love CHL videos to demonstrate:-

The egg always comes first !

In literal chicken and egg

Egg layers that were not defined as chickens existed

A cross breeding or mutation occurred an egg from a non chicken produced and then a chicken

I've never understood the confusion

At a more fundamental level the egg is always a precursor a mixing pot so to speak

Thus for life or stuff , matter or energy thought to exist (the metaphoric chicken ) a vessel container , space, time a cosmos universe (the egg) needs to come first

My conclusion is

Space , time and matter have always existed , no first or last

If at any level it is suggested that either

Matter or space once did not exist in some form , then a needless complication is added

How does something come from nothing if we have honestly defined nothing

To clarify

My understanding is we are one of an infinite number of finite expanding universes within an infinite cosmos

Whether this is a hologram computer simulation or just the thoughts of a dreamer does not change the larger perspective

If we cannot handle infinite time or space our brain is left with a less manageable what is beyond a finite boundary whatever we call it , time or space

That pineal gland stuff is all just speculation, not fact, and DMT is not released into our blood stream at any point in time.

I’ve taken DMT. It definitely does not form the basis of what you see now. It’s the opposite. It stops you seeing the world in an ordered way. In fact, you don’t even see the world any more. You also definitely do not choose anything on it - I’ve never had so little control in my life. BUUUT the good thing was that it helped make all of this scientific stuff make a lot more sense.

Wouldn’t recommend anyone to try it though. It’s not fun.

I think the hologram idea might have fallen out of favour as a theory. I did hear an interesting explanation of time dilation being a function of our universe embedded in a higher dimentional brane. The TV physicist goes on about a block universe a lot but I know bugger all about that.
