The Forum clique.

As a couple we flit in & out of the forums,as and when just for a few laughs, but we have noticed the dreaded Forum Clique (more noticeable with no MEET verifications) who just come on to chat and get some new ideas to bring on to other forums about Superman comics, super soft pillows or my shoes are to big.

Question being, why? What do the so called clique get out of it?

I'm sure a clique member won't reply to this, so I ask all you genuine swingers (on a swingers site) what you think about it.

I’ve been using the forums for about nine months and I’m still clueless as to who is in the ‘clique’ and if people think I’m in it or not.

I’m sure different people think different formites are in this ‘clique’

Honestly? Unsure what they get out of it. As I don’t know who it is.

Hopefully someone more helpful than me answers

I think the Lounge is a general forum for general things that even swingers are alllowed to think about. There are other boards ie Swingers chat for the more filthy chat. Even a politics section for the downright disgusting amongst us

of course, i could be a cover for the real clique, who prefer not to exist at all.. i am a ruse, that it continues, despite rumours that its only people who actually go to socials and meet other people a lot..but don't spread the gossip. its sooo real..not, maybe, yes, no. ask for a piece of cake its the password in

There is a clique. There are sub-clique's and support cliques.

There are those who round on people like a pack of vultures and revel in tearing people apart once one of the 'in crowd' start having a pop.

There are threads that would be pulled within seconds if you are outside of the clique, yet other threads run and run when certain people post.

I have been here for many years, lurking mostly but people have come and gone and others have always mention the “clique” word, honestly there isn’t one just regular forum people who chat and interact a lot with each other. Surely if someone is knicking ideas from here or other sites it has nothing to do with being in a clique, that just means they have no imagination

You obviously never read my post correctly. I never said it was a sex site, i said it was a swingers site where the forum clique have no meet verifications so hence are not swingers. Just forumites who go from one site to another bringing the funny tales they read elsewhere. Bit like scavenging if you like for popularity.

I think the term 'clique' is people's go to word to try and describe rapport between friends who've spent months/years in the same forums and more often socials and such too. I wouldn't slay it's a clique, just because those outside that particular group of friends doesn't know them well enough to understand the humour and personalities can't immediately settle right in they could get to know said people first which takes time. But as they say, patience is a virtue.

Nah. There is no clique. But there are those of you that jump on newbies. Ignore other member's contributions. Blow smoke up each other's arses. C'est la vie. News flash... people that want to be accepted feel excluded by that behaviour. Hence the term clique. Those that deny it clearly have their head up their own arses and are probably where the disgruntled are reaching out to. It's bollocks to me. But just as I see it.

"As a couple we flit in & out of the forums,as and when just for a few laughs, but we have noticed the dreaded Forum Clique (more noticeable with no MEET verifications) who just come on to chat and get some new ideas to bring on to other forums about Superman comics, super soft pillows or my shoes are to big.

Question being, why? What do the so called clique get out of it?

It's just a mini club who support each others comments and bum eachother up many have met so are friends or at least acquaintances and others have been here years, it's a mutual respect thing they get support whatever they say, we all like a bit of the cheers feeling when you walk in and everybody knows your name, don't we? All sites have them and on some sites it can be fairly difficult for those not in it in chatrooms but here it's innocuous

OP who do you think is in the clique? Has anyone from the clique replied?

The forums are just a place for folk to chat. Some people are pleasant, some aren’t. Some are friends and have in jokes with each other. Some can be bitter and nasty unfortunately. Then there are those that point the finger at forumites for what they do and what they say ... forgetting that they contribute on the forums which make them exactly the same as everyone else that comments! And of course, like any forum, there are some incredibly funny and lovely folk.

My advice would just be to join in and have fun. Just ignore the bits you don’t like. It takes all sorts to make the place flow
