I've entered a marathon yeah get me right. I'm not made for running those of you that have seen me know that so it's going to be difficult. I can manage a half marathon in 2 hours tho. Anyway I have to raise 750 for charity as it's their place in using.

Apart from asking people straight up for donations I want them to give willingly. I plan on doing a bake sale but not sure what else to do.

Any ideas are welcome as long as they're sensible I'll consider them lol. Thanks for helping

A 2 hour half is good going.... Should possibly break 4:30 marathon.

Get the right training plan in place and follow it. Become obsessed with it and be prepared to lose unsupportive friends.

Running a marathon is an amazing thing to do. Which one are you doing?

Oh... Fund raising ideas!

How far away is the marathon? How much time do you have to raise the money and how much free time do you have?

Some people I know organised virtual runs.... Medals online cost pennies, buy 50 or so.... Charge an entry fee then take pit your costs and give the rest to charity

Tried the ballot for London and no luck then tried my usual charity place but they've all gone. Anyway it's the Edinburgh marathon in may so plenty of time yet. I'm only training to finish not run the whole thing. A half is my limit for running so there will be plenty of walking and crying lol

A clothes swap, everyone brings a bag of clothes to the swap. They have to pay £10 or whatever you choose to charge.

Everyone goes home with sone new clothes, you get money for the charity. Of course there will be nibbles and drink.

Charity pub quiz, might need a bit more help from a pub. Similar thing, people pay to enter the quiz, but of money goes to winning team.

Name the bear competition.

You could get together a bunch of friends and family and pack bags in a supermarket or maybe rather than do a secret Santa at work (if you do one) get people to donate the £5 or £10 to your chosen charity. Best of luck
