Planet Ork

We were watching a programme about the Romans the other evening. When the Romans’ visited the toilet, to wipe themselves afterwards their used to be a stick with a sponge or rags on one end of it and a handle on the other end, so you definitely didn’t want to “get the wrong end of the stick”!

What gems does everyone else know?

"Don't piss in my pocket and tell me it's raining" is a personal favourite.

Havn't got a pot to piss in.

The poor would sell their piss to the tanning industry. If you were mega poor you wouldn't even have a pot ... to piss in

“Not enough room to swing a cat”

Which of course does NOT mean a feline lol...

... but actually refers to an old naval term for using a “cat o’nine tails”... which I’m sure a few of you DO have experience in?!

Therefore basically “not enough room to swing a whip”

Gala pie was actually originally called Gallows pie,as it was the snack of choice while watching a public hanging.

Bet you won't look at that buffet the same way again now.
