Someone posted earlier about all the naughty people being elsewhere so I've been having a look around and it does seem different areas have a whole different scene. The updates pages have a few obvious differences, some have more of one gender, stone post more pics, some are more into posting meets.

Does where you live affect how you swing? Would you travel to another area if you could?

I guess that would vastly affect things. Up in Scotland we only have 2 clubs so a lot more focus is on one to one meets.

I travel round the country quite a bit an I think the North of England is better than the south.

How do you judge good though?

I changed my postcode and my local updates went from relatively quiet to crazy busy. Surely more people means more potential?

Do they really have different scenes? I thought it would just be quiet/not so quiet. I know that people change to busier locations for fabs on photos.

I've been swinging while living in a few different areas and not noticed that much of a difference. Maybe more people belonging to certain trades in some areas? I guess in London there are some areas where the site might reflect the general demographic. Actually that would apply to places other than London.

i mean in those that meet and i have more friends north of the border as i was based near arbroath and used to live in glasgow for a few years

There seem to be more clubs and I guess I’ve just had more success. The people seem friendlier.

Scotland (Glasgow) has been pretty good. And I’ve found London really hard. The women I’ve met in London have not been locals. They have been working/staying there too.

We are i guess lucky.. living around Manchester, we have a lot of clubs.

But if I'm perfectly honest, weve not been to a club for a few months. Although fun socially..

A cliche, but we/I prefer to get to know someone, banter chats etc get a feel for someone, no pun. If we are hoping to meet on a more intimate level.. but to answer your question, yes we have travelled..

Well from what I can tell from the updates the approaches seem to be different. The areas with clubs have more "who's going to...tonight" type updates. Some have more photos added, some have more meet today things, up here it just seems to be people complaining

There are hotties all over the place that I would like to meet, but there are also a few locally that have my attention. I think I'm pretty well situated to find who I want so I'm quite happy with my location

Scotland - Aberdeen

A few years ago there was often a few socials being arranged in clubs for a great night, I flew down south a few times for them. But a lot has changed since those days.

And don't even speak about my area! As I really don't have anything nice to say about most of the men and their attitudes

And some of the Scottish socials are huge!

It turned out that way yes, but there where no hard and fast rules.. we met with a view to a social and it evolved. We travelled a distance, we had spoken for a while developed a friendship. So wanted to meet anyway, whether there was to be any intimacy or not. X

The swinging scene in South Wales is mental, there are lots of different types of socials, from small 20 people Sunday lunch gatherings, weekday and evening meets, to huge 100+ people events.

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been to any socials or club nights so have to rely on messaging to make connections on here and have been lucky to have had some great meets so cant really complain but there are just so few other fabbers in my location its just not easy to make many friends especially if your a single man.

I'm a bit too shy to go to a party on my own not knowing anybody! would rather meet someone for a social first to have a coffee and chat and hopefully make a connection that way.
