Status meets How many replies

This is not a look at me negative moan as I get everything I want from the site but on the odd occasions I’ve noticed a couple or a single fem has put up a meet status that’s caught my attention.I’ve messaged to register an interest and never seem to receive a reply

I only message if I fit their criteria and was wondering for those who put up meets on their status how many replies and messages do you usually receive?

status updates are seen fairly quickly by people who live near them so imagine they get snapped up really quickly if they are worthy of snapping

I get inundated if i jokingly ask who's joining me in the shower

I barely get any tbh, my profile scares most men off. The ones i do get havent read my profile as I dont even get a face pic in the message . But i usually always try to say no thankyou x

Any time we've done this we've had about 20-30 in half an hour. We usually pick someone out that lot so any after that we don't even chat to them. It's not that they aren't what we'd pick. It's just they've not been in the first lot that's messaged x

I've put up similar posts several times, and especially when I had a club meet planned. I received one reply from a single female once, who requested my face pic, then replied "Not my type", and three couples (this from a total of 9 club visits), replied, one of which actually met me in the club. So, for a single guy, it's not a great percentage success rate, but it doesn't hurt to try

To be fair; I've received more interest from leaving club reviews, along the lines of "Wish I'd known you were going that night", that I've been tempted to leave a review BEFORE attending a club..........

Unless they’re looking in stealth mode they don’t seem to have viewed my profile.

Just to be clear quite most of the requests I’ve replied to have been a few days in advance.

When I’ve messaged someone with a club meet up to say I’m likely to be there I always seem to get a response

I've never posted or replied to a meet request advert, but I've had a look at your profile OP and can offer this insight...

Criteria is subjective. There are many things not covered by the preference, interests and 'looking for' tick-boxes. They may have read your profile in stealth mode and decided you're not for them... Or, indeed, that they're not for you if, for example, they don't resemble the particular porn star you've mentioned as your ideal woman on your profile. The reference may be humorously intentioned, but few of us can live up to those sort of ideals.

I would be saying the same thing to a woman if she had started this thread and jokingly said that she was looking for a particular film star lookalike on her profile... Most guys would rule themselves out on the grounds that they don't look or feel like a film star... But women can afford to make those kind of jokes on here as they are generally the ones being pursued, and not the pursuer, so the likelihood of a woman starting a thread like this is zero.

While the ladies of Fab are often accused of having over-inflated egos and thinking we have platinum pussies, the truth is that the majority of us are just normal women, each with our own doubts and insecurities, and when someone seems to have impossibly high expectations in terms of looks, etc., we'd rather pass the opportunity by than hold ourselves up to the possibility of rejection at a later stage.

It depends how tight my filters are at the time, but yes I tend to get a lot of response on the rare occasion I do this (I prefer advance planning). I look at the ones with the best avatars and pictures attached first and usually find someone pretty quickly so the bulk of them don't get a reply I'm afraid

There was a reverse of this thread (kind of) posted by a couple a week or so ago OP in which they said they'd posted a meet and received about 100 replies - so the odds are stacked against you.

As you and others have said, most couples and single ladies look in stealth, so you'd probably not know if you've been perused.

But seriously when someone posts a social or club meet I’m finding they reply to messages and when we do meet we usually get on so I’m reading their filters ok

This. We had our first ever reply to a status or meet post last week (we did both so not sure which it was!) . I think the difference is if you're looking for men or not (we aren't )

Thanks to everyone who’s posted I think the common view is that whenever someone posts a meet wanting to meet guys then they are just swamped with replies so it probably saves time just to ignore them
