What is it with the number of requests for lifts lately, am I missing something? Is this a thing ?

At the moment I am asking for a lift on Friday, only from people I know in person, who are going anyway and would not be at all going out of their way for me.

I often give lifts to other people too if I am driving. I just see it as being part of the community.

It just doesn't feel like a big deal to me really.

If I'm going somewhere that's nothing to do with Fab and have local friends who are also going, I will offer them a lift also.

Many times I have given lifts to clubs for people who could not possibly get there on public transport.

I'm just trying to give my perspective to the other side of this.

Your offer sounds genuine to either people you know or to a designated event, what I am talking about is women randomly asking to be given a lift 40 - 50 miles and in the next 10 minutes!
