Haven't seen a bonfire this year, but there's been some competitive fireworks displays by the neighbour's since Thursday- our immediate neighbours winning hands down so we've seen plenty of fireworks from the warm confines of the house. So our plans are to stay in.

Me and the kids had our bonfire on Saturday night, along with toffee apples, hotdogs and fireworks. I think a lot of working people did it on the weekend.

My daughter turned 6 today we didn't go to a display as she saw her dad for tea. This weekend next year she's with me so it'll be displays agogo - as many as we can get to love the day

What’s involved in getting Haribos ready Shag, taking them out the cupboard and opening the packet ?

I'm staying in and the only reason I would venture out was if the grandchildren wanted to see some fireworks. It hurts my heart that we send soooo much money up in smoke and damage the earth in doing so, just for cheap thrills.

Comfort the family dog, as the fireworks scare the shit out of the dog.

Well, it's pissin' down in Bristol and the immolation of the Catholic anti-christ is probably all a bit damp.

I can hear fireworks.

The only people who can see them probably are Easyjet pilots landing at Bristol.

The climate is saying No to your sectarian tradition.

i learned today that Guy Fawkes was being taken to the scaffold for execution when he broke free, leapt from the scaffold - and killed himself in the fall by breaking his neck.

They still chopped him up, though, and sent the body parts on a tour of the peasant-lands.

Parliament passed an Act declaring Nov 5 to be a day of thanksgiving.
