If you could choose any film that you’d wish to turn it have a sequel. What would it be?

There and to the left a bit

It's too late now but a sequel to The Italian Job showing just what Charlie Croker's idea was and the subsequent chase across Europe with the gold could have been pretty amazing

"Gladiator..I hear that a sequel is being planned with Russell Crowe back from the dead!"

Apparently the story will follow Lucious, the nephew of Commodus, some years after the events of Gladiator to see what impact Maximus and his death had on Rome and Lucious.

Russell Crowe's character is long gone!

The big reason I prefer the 1st is the piss taking they do about selling out to corporations, whilst advertising a whole load of products, but the YMCA scene is definitely up there as one of the greatest bits of film comedy i’ve seen.

Bridges of Madison County.

I read the follow up book (A thousand country roads) that told the story of what happened to Robert & Francesca after the brief 4 days in ‘Bridges’. An amazing follow up story, that would have made an equally amazing sequel

Somewhere In The Ether…

"The Warriors..."

Classic movie

There have been murmurs for years of a remake which was originally set to be helmed by Ridley Scott.

However, it was subsequently downsized with Scott no longer attached and will apparently (if it ever gets made) be a TV mini series or else a one off TV drama.

Either way, it will likely be crap compared to the original; ‘Warriors...come out to playyyyyy’

Somewhere In The Ether…

I’d personally love to see Kurt Russell play Snake Plissken one more time.

He’s still looking great so I say bloody well abandon the proposed remake (typically lazy, cynical Hollywood bullshit!) with another actor (utter sacrilege!!!) and get the one and only man for the job back

It appears that you're right that the Gladiator 2 story will focus on Lucious and that Maximus wont return. Hopefully it will still be a good sequel!

Sadly, Point Break 2 can't happen without Patrick Swayze. I mean the real Point Break. If they made a sequel to that 'remake' it still won't count.

I have watched the original soooo many times, first at the flicks, then I bought the video, then I uploaded it and watched on my big telly. It’s right up there with First Blood 1 and Terminator...

Good film but glaring inaccuracies, particularly with period equipment. Luckily Band Of Brothers came not long after and corrected a lot of them (barring the Tiger tanks)

Always thought the idea of Goodfellas set 20 years after. Interesting to see how the Lucchese family dealt with things 20 years later during the technological era, directed by Scorsese.

Would be so good. Matilda being Leon’s age. I swear it could probably be made right now. Natalie Portman must be around the same age as Jean Reno if not younger still. Would love to see her play an assassin... hope she still has that plant after all these years

Leon was shit and so fucking ambiguous when it comes to the relation between Leon and Mathilda !!

Knowing that Besson met Maïween when she was 12 and married her when she was 15/16 ! We understand what this movie underlined...
