The sad things about Christmas

Christmas is coming and we all love a good Christmas, life’s enjoying the ambience all the music and people in general are happier.

But I want to point out some of the sadder things, the end of another year, as you get older they seem to go quicker and quicker.

All of those alone at Christmas, to them it’s a sad time remembering all they have lost..

Deaths, it’s always a sad time to loose someone, and some famous people too, few years ago we lost George Michael, that came as a shock to most..

What other things are sad at Christmas?

Not having a family to share it with or a home. Thankfully I have both. I'd love a special partner to share it with mind.

The Town by The Cross

Those things can make people feel sad but they are not to do with Christmas.

Doing something for other people helps to take your mind of yourself at times.

Volunteer. It's great therapy.

Christmas Day is a happy and sad day for us. Marks mam died on Christmas day 2003 so its 15 years this year, we usually get up early but leave the presents unopened. Go take flowers to the Chapel and spend an hour just reflecting, Then its home and open our presents. Start lunch and await the grandkids arrival. Then all hell breaks loose with toys all over the place and 3 excited kids. Mixed emotions for us

I take about 15 to 20 days off in December as I have to travel to Glasgow to see friends, then London finally on to Plymouth again to see friends. Seems it's the only time of year I get enough time to visit people.
