If you could change the future

There's been some threads about what you would say to your past self.

Some great advice but do you ever think of that advice for now, the present time? I know I wouldn't have listened to it when I was 18.

It's easy to say what we would have changed in the past because we don't have to do it. The time is gone.

What advice would you give yourself for the future - and will you follow it?

Don't settle for the sake of settling, you're worth more than that.

Be brave... because you are.

Believe in yourself, and believe you can change things you don't like, not always in the way you expect.... You can change them from inside yourself - that doesn't mean becoming a pushover, and don't change your core values.

Take time for yourself, to be the you you want to be.

Don't be afraid of being happy, maybe, just maybe, there isn't bad stuff lurking round the corner waiting to knock you down.

The right place

I find that we often it’s easier to give advice to others than it is ourselves, but it’s relatively easy to expose this blind spot by asking ourselves what advice would you give a really good friend that is in the exact same position as yourself.

It’s funny how you can then get a bit of perspective that is sometimes difficult to see.

Usually we have the answers within us.

I don't think I need it. Not that my life is perfect but I'm happy.

I guess just to stay true to myself and my beliefs and take each day as it comes.
