Just to say I totally get why people moan about receiving messages with no effort. Especially woman who get 100's every day.

Lol nobody has rejected me by using that line. Just simply going with the ratio of males to females on here. And actually saying I feel for them if lots of guys do this.

Bingo! Sounds so simple when you say it like that doesn't it ha?! Otherwise you're only messaging because the profile says female and I'm not sure that does it for most girls!

A simple, 'hello how are you?' message works for me. The annoying ones are when you get a whole fucking essay which goes into detail about every which way they want to have you, and it's so explicit it's completely what they want without even thinking about what you want as well so there's hardly even room to reply so you're the one who ends up looking like a boring bastard!

Maybe but isn't that the point of a wink though? Quick wink says you like the look of something. Then leave it up to them. If they wink back or message then may lead somewhere.

I think in general women are getting less messages than say a few years ago if friends have anything to say about the subject. Not sure the reason but there may a few factors.

1. The number of posts this year in particular about the subject.

2. Guys are messaging more selectively contrary to popular belief.

3. Maybe the ladies that have been on longer have learnt to use the filters better and it's only the newer ladies who get hundreds.

4. More guys are blocking those who don't reply and therfore are saying not interested.

5. Maybe guys are getting tired of of little response.

Might be more but it's definitely a trend atm.

5 definitely, I messaged a couple of people local to me and to where I work, the messages were polite, showed that I'd read their profile and that I liked their photos.

And, nothing, one of them even blocked me immediately yet I'd done or said nothing wrong.

Which leads to 2, I've not sent a message since - I do keep editing my profile when I think of things I've got to say for myself.

Then there's the photos, a lot of f/cpl profiles say no cock shots, other f/cpl profiles leave absolutely nothing to the imagination - so you're in the wrong 50% of the time anyway.

It's a jungle out there

I have responded to an opening message that was just "baaaa". I thought it was amusing and we ended up meeting several times. If a message is too long I tend not to bother reading them. If someone has that much to say in a first message then they probably like the sound of their own voice too much

I wrote a message once to complain about this ladies man bashing profile which (like a lot of female profiles) had nothing but a list of her demands and what you need to do to get blocked. I titled my message ‘I don’t like your profile’.

Where as normaly it would take a few days (if at all) for an answer, this took under 4 mins for a reply.
