is sad but true.....home made turnip (swede) soup and some cheese rolls.......my xmas turkey proved to be a slippery bugger and is still loose and laughing at me......told him that cum easter....he's mine!!!

.

am back visiting the sick folks tomorrow so not really around long enough for a big dinner

roast beef yorkies ..lovely beefy gravy cabbage parsnips and carrots butter roasted .. home made xmas pudding and brandy butter and much mulled wine

O H has to take the boys back to London in the evening ..

Turkey beef and pork here as 15 and Boxing day over 20 so having meats cold too . I have all sorts of nice things to go with it thanks to watrose , lol

Well i am glad he or she got away .. lol i have pet sheep could never eat them .. all hand reared like dogs come running to there names , lol

Daughter is cooking for us for the first time ever - trouble is she doesn't seem to understand that different size turkey's need different cooking time. SHe's asked us over for 1 but bet we don't eat before 4 lol but hey it's good not to have to worry for once - well not until we have to call the doctor anyway

Homemade pate and oatcakes

Homemade lentil soup (the choice of soup caused a family arguement, starter maker wanted to make red pepper and butternut squash soup!!!! Its against the law to make any other soup but lentil for Christmas day)

Turkey crown and Ham with the trimmings.

Chocolate Fudge cake and cream.

Fried Camembert with a crispy salad with red current jelly, to be followed by pan-fried leg of duck, with orange, mango and onion compote, saute potato and parsnip, and stir-fried vegetables, to finish off with home-made Tiramisu.

All to be washed down with either red wine or Bucks Fizz.

Home made lentil soup ( made by borther in law)

roast beef and gravy (made by sister's mother in law) and a tonne of sprouts (will fight nephew for them).

no potatoes (as sis makes mashed ones which were ganting last time) and no other veg (as she makes processed peas and serves them together with carrots, and proc peas make me sick)
