accepting compliments

On sites like this do you accept compliments for what they are or do you think they always come with a hidden agenda?

Does it depend on who is giving the compliment?

Do you react differently to real life compliments?

It doesn’t come naturally but I’ve learned to get better at it. If someone says something nice, accepting it does you good and of course it’s nicer for the person giving the compliment too

If I think a compliment is genuine I smile and say "thank you". If I genuinely feel I can compliment the person in return I do.

If I don't think the compliment is genuine I do as above but don't return the compliment.

I can both give and receive compliments equally well. I assume they are genuinely given on here and don't really care if they aren't

What if you're given a compliment. Do you feel obliged to give one back,because you've been given one?. So a fake compliment. I'm sure many do it.

That depends who it is, i dont take things people say too seriously especialy strangers on the internet, i usually say thanks though as its polite to. If i get a compliment from someone i meet thats a bit different.

Good question.

Sometimes I think what do you want.

And other times that was nice. Very difficult to feel anything unless you know the person of course.

You can tell by way something is written if it's for real as it's usually well thought out.

No you dont have to if its someone you meet, i met someone who said i was pretty, i didnt compliment him though, i did enjoy having sex with him most of the time though.

I’m the same. I feel like if I say ‘thank you’ it’s like I agree with them and I usually don’t agree with them at all. I’m fairly self deprecating so my go to response is a put down (about myself)

Compliments on Fab are not real tbh, guys will tell you anything just to get what they want. They say the same things to every woman lol regardless of her looks, and without even seeing her face !!

Real life compliments are more honest in my opinion.

I compliment in life as I do here so for me it's a natural thing, if some women are over complimented and so therefore take them with a pinch of salt I can't odds that, I can only do what comes naturally

I dont totally dissagree about fab ones but thrre are many girls too far away to meet what does a guy gain in lying to them?

Depends on what they say and who says it.

If it's someone I've met in real life and they say something nice I know they don't mean it.

It depends who says it and what they say.

I think most people genuinely mean it when they comment on pics, the fact they've done the same to other ladies is irrelevant. Some can go a bit overboard though and seem insincere.

If someone sends a compliment we just accept it for what it is, thinking otherwise just wasting cognitive energy.

I am dreadful at accepting compliments, it's something im working on. Rather than rebuffing them im trying to graciously accept the compliment and return one whenever I can.

It's a work in progress.

I do give lots more than I get though, which really isn't a problem, just an observation.

Some are prepared to travel or travel with work all over the country. I see this all the time. Also even if they are not the travelling type, they are happy to make a specific journey, those always try to convince me that distance is no issue. Guys have got everything to gain, well a meet , sex if they are lucky, it’s why everyone is on this site lol
