Hello!

I'm a programmer who cracked your email account and device about half year ago.

You entered a password on one of the insecure site you visited, and I catched it.

Your password from ...

on moment of crack: ...

Of course you can will change your password, or already made it.

But it doesn't matter, my rat software update it every time.

Please don't try to contact me or find me, it is impossible, since I sent you an email from your email account.

Through your e-mail, I uploaded malicious code to your Operation System.

I saved all of your contacts with friends, colleagues, relatives and a complete history of visits to the Internet resources.

Also I installed a rat software on your device and long tome spying for you.

You are not my only victim, I usually lock devices and ask for a ransom.

But I was struck by the sites of intimate content that you very often visit.

I am in shock of your reach fantasies! Wow! I've never seen anything like this!

I did not even know that SUCH content could be so exciting!

So, when you had fun on intime sites (you know what I mean!)

I made screenshot with using my program from your camera of yours device.

After that, I jointed them to the content of the currently viewed site.

Will be funny when I send these photos to your contacts! And if your relatives see it?

BUT I'm sure you don't want it. I definitely would not want to ...

I will not do this if you pay me a little amount.

I think $808 is a nice price for it!

I accept only Bitcoins.

My BTC wallet: 1PL9ewB1y3iC7EyuePDoPxJjwC4CgAvWTo

If you have difficulty with this - Ask Google "how to make a payment on a bitcoin wallet". It's easy.

After receiving the above amount, all your data will be immediately removed automatically.

My virus will also will be destroy itself from your operating system.

My Trojan have auto alert, after this email is looked, I will be know it!

You have 2 days (48 hours) for make a payment.

If this does not happen - all your contacts will get crazy shots with your dirty life!

And so that you do not obstruct me, your device will be locked (also after 48 hours)

Do not take this frivolously! This is the last warning!

Various security services or antiviruses won't help you for sure (I have already collected all your data).

Here are the recommendations of a professional:

Antiviruses do not help against modern malicious code. Just do not enter your passwords on unsafe sites!

I hope you will be prudent.

Bye.

.

.

.

The annoying thing is I did open it by mistake due to my sqiffy eyesight.

I don't think anyone could reveal any more of me that I haven't done myself on here anyway.

I have a husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs, work part time, if you can find that I have any money please let me know!

Have a good day

These are turning up a lot, sometimes with a password you have used listed. The website haveibeenpwned.com will show sites that your details have been hacked from. I received one of these emails listing a password I used 5 years ago for an online game. Sure enough when I checked, that server had been hacked. It's very much worth a check.

Looking about on the internet there are many reports of this exact same message. It is widely accepted that it is a SCAM and you should certainly NOT pay them any money.

There is loads of lists of user credentials and emails for sale on the "dark web" and this is where they will have got your details from. Check with haveibeenpwned.com to see where they might have got your data from, you just put an email address in and it tells you if it's on a known list.

It would be sensible to change passwords, and use an online virus scanner such as Trend Housecall to see if you may have any malicious software on your computer.

Personally though, I wouldn't be overly worried.

There are quite a few variations of this going about.

The one I got said:

***************

hello, my prey.

I write you because I buried a virus on the web site with pornography which you have visited.

My trojan captured all your private information and switched on your web camera which recorded the process of your masturbation. Just after that the virus saved your contact list.

I will delete the compromising video and data if you pay me 555 EURO in bitcoin.

This is address for payment : 15AGyZEJaLMnUhJKMkuziPS4wwDsWBUHiP

I give you 30h after you open my message for making the payment.

As soon as you open the message I'll know it right away.

It is not necessary to tell me that you have sent money to me. This address is connected to you, my system will erased automatically after transfer confirmation.

If you need 50h just Open the calculator on your desktop and press +++

If you don't pay, I'll send dirt to all your contacts.

Let me remind you-I see what you're doing!

You can visit the police station but nothing can't help you.

If you attempt to cheat me , I'll see it immediately!

I don't live in your country. So anybody can not track my location even for 9 months.

bye. Don't forget about the shame and to ignore, Your life can be ruined.

***************

It's all bollocks because

The email address they sent it to was an info@ address that is never used for signing up to websites

and

All my friends know I'm a pervert anyway!

Yeah I've had a few in the last fortnight but the password they quoted was one I'd never used and the stuff they claimed to have on me never existed. Nasty though.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

It doesn't have to be anything quite as insidious as a hacker somewhere hacking your account, there are those that easily have access to your details such as the site software programmers, those working on the hosting system, etc..

A disgruntled employee, someone with no scruples...

Something like this would be really simple for them to do...

Oops, forgot to add ..

All they have is the details on that host system, your email and that you are a member of a site..

They won't have installed any malware or have access to your contacts..

Although it’s a scam there’s no harm in changing your password every so often.

Not many of us do that though do we?

A friend of mine got one of these recently. The key thing is not to reply. Unless there's some bit of tech I don't know about, these scammers can't see if you've opened the mail or not. So they don't know if your email is dormant, fake, or not. They'll be waiting for any form of reply. Once they have that they may not get back to you. They may instead make a very different approach under another guise. Even though it might be amusing to reply, just don't give them even an inch
