Please can someone explain to me why on a posted thread if you offer an opinion that differs to someone else's their first reaction is to call you a "snowflake".

The definition if this is "a generation of people more prone to take offence or not as resilient as previous generations. Also more emotionally vulnerable"

Therefore everyone is a "snowflake" of a previous generation.

I thought I left name calling and abuse in the playground

It's the way in which the opinion is given. If it is a simple disagreement with a logical argument then that isn't being a snowflake. Snowflakes are triggered easily an react emotionally resort to name calling etc themselves because they can't articulate their disagreement properly.
